Bachelor & Master „Integrated Life Sciences“ FAU Erlangen
Die Biologie des 21. Jahrhunderts beschäftigt sich unter anderem mit der Kommunikation zwischen Zellen, der Schaffung maßgeschneiderter Zellen oder der Diagnostik z.B. von Krebs anhand der Analyse der mechanischen Zelleigenschaften. Diese modernen Fragen werden im Studiengang Integrated Life Sciences (Bachelor + Master ILS) adressiert.
ILS ist der ideale Studiengang für alle naturwissenschaftlich Interessierten, die sich nicht zwischen Biologie, Physik, einem Ingenieurstudium oder einem Mathematikstudium entscheiden können bzw. wollen. Im ILS Studiengang lernen Sie neben der Zell- und Molekularbiologie auch das Programmieren, den Aufbau und die Funktionsweise moderner Kameras oder Mikroskope, die Beschreibung von experimentellen Daten („big data“) mit geeigneten mathematischen Modellen und deren physikalische Interpretation.
The biology of the 21st century focuses on the communication between cells, the design of tailored cells, or the diagnostics of e.g. cancer by means of the mechanical properties of individual cells. These timely research directions are addressed within the Integrated Life Sciences (Bachelor + Master ILS) study programme.
ILS is the ideal study programme for students interested in life sciences without a clear preference for either biology, physics, engineering, or mathematics study programmes. ILS students become experts not only in cellular and molecular biology but gain as well a thorough programming knowledge, are able to design and set up modern cameras or microscopes, and gain proficiency in the analysis and physical interpretation of experimental data („big data“) using suitable mathematical models.
